Dr. Ramos-Sánchez received a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering in the area of BioProcess Engineering. At present, he teaches Chemical Reaction Engineering at the department of Chemical Engineering of the University of Camagüey. He is also a staff member of the master in science and doctorate programs of his department. Dr. Ramos-Sánchez is member of the academic committee of Biotechnology doctorate program from the University of Oriente (Santiago de Cuba). He is also member of the Cuban national panel for doctorate defense. Dr. Ramos-Sánchez is member of the Technical Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Higher Education of the Republic of Cuba and is also member of the Scientific Council of the University of Camagüey and the Center of Genetic Engineering (CIGB). He heads a research group working on BioProcess Research and Development. He has a wide experience in different culture systems such as bacteria, yeast, molds and mammalian cells. He headed international projects together in collaboration with Belgium Universities about animal feed and biofuels production. Dr. Ramos-Sánchez has been involved in different projects together with the CIGB and the Center of Molecular Immunology (CIM) concerning bioproducts, vaccines and monoclonal antibody production. Professor Ramos-Sánchez worked as visiting professor in different Universities from Mexico, Brazil, Ecuador and Peru.
